Ada Marks

Our beautiful mother, grandmother, wife and friend left us May 18, 2008. She was born to Charles and Alice Neilson March 13, 1922 in Cardston Alberta, Canada.

She met the love of her life December 6, 1941 (the night before Pearl Harbor). Their love flourished and she married Raymond Marks on
April 12, 1946. Their first years were spent in Copperton near Bingham Canyon; later they moved to Salt Lake City.

Ada was talented and creative—we treasure her crocheted and knit creations. Here creativity was reflected in her home décor and personal attire. She was totally devoted to her children and the health of her husband. She made certain that every meal served was healthy and made with love.

Ada is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Susan (Lynn) McShane, Mick (Nancy) Marks, David (Carol) Marks, Nancy (Scott) Farrell; and sister, Alice Crane. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 7 siblings.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street. Visitations will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening and 10:00-10:45 a.m. Thursday morning. Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
