–

Midvale, UT

Alene Patricia Warr Naccarato, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2014 at the age of 89 in Salt Lake City, UT surrounded by her family, her greatest treasure in life.
Alene was born on November 7, 1925 to Edward L Warr and Eliza C Fairbourne Warr in Granger, Utah, the youngest of 9 daughters. She had memorable stories of her childhood onthe family farm with her sisters and of attending Monroe Elementary, where she met her best friend, Lois Aston, in the 4th grade. Despite moving to Riverton and attending Jordan High, they remained lifelong friends, traveling and making many memories together.
Just before the close of WWII, while employed as a clerk at the Paris department store, Alene met her husband Victor Naccarato, who was working as a bus driver at the time. They married and had 4 children while running several businesses together. Those business including the Rose Garden, High Hat, Ponderosa and the Voyager nightclub. Victor died of cancer in January of 1973 and Alene dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, never remarrying. She made a career in Membership Services at Mountain America Credit Union until her retirement after many year there. Following retirement, she enjoyed going on vacations, cruises and spending as much time with her family as possible. She was an accomplished cook and
seamstress, and spent much of her free time crocheting beautiful blankets for her children and grandchildren. All of her grandchildren will remember going to her house around Christmas, when she and her sisters spent weeks preparing delicious handmade treats from scratch. It was a yearly event they eagerly looked forward to.
Alene is preceded in death by her husband Victor Naccarato (1973), her son Kenneth Naccarato (2010), and her daughter Leslie Smith (2010). She is survived by her eldest son, Victor L. Naccarato (Kitty) and her youngest daughter, Annette Smelser (Bill), as well as 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild all of whom loved her beyond words. We are forever grateful for the unwavering generosity, love and laughter she brought to our lives.
