Alicia Leach Howard Obituary (1921 - 2019)

Alicia Gayle (Leach) Howard, 97, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed peacefully in her sleep with family by her side on January 1, 2019. Alicia was able to enjoy Christmas celebrations with her family before returning to her Father in Heaven. Alicia Gayle Leach was born June 20, 1921 in Portland, Oregon to Lloyd Francis Leach and Dessie Hethcock Leach. She grew up in humble circumstances in Boise, Idaho and graduated from Boise High School in 1939. Alicia loved spending time with her family, doing genealogy, Temple work, and quilting. She served in various positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. She was a beloved Cub Scout leader for 12 years and served 10 years as an extraction (indexing) missionary. Alicia was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Perrier Berryman; brother, Lloyd Francis Leach; and husbands, Emil J. Perrier and Lucas B. Howard. She is survived by her sons, Rand M. Perrier (Marian) and Keith I. Howard; son-in-law, Gene Berryman; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Wasatch Hills Ward located at 2255 South Wasatch Drive, SLC, Utah, with a viewing from 10:00-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
