Dr. Allan M. Larm Obituary (1937 - 2015)

Our beloved father, Allan Larm died at Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Jordan on May 20, 2015. He was 78 years old. He is survived by his six children: Jenny Hoffmann, Michael Larm, Kaarina Hardy, Telynn Clawson, Derrick Larm, Cristtin Larm, and his 16 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Arvo Larm and Jenny Salo Larm, and his sister, Ina Salo Allison. Allan was born on April 15, 1937 in Red Lodge, MT. He served a mission for the LDS Church in Finland. He then graduated in 1969 from the University of Utah with a Ph.D. in Theoretical Nuclear Physics. He worked for over 30 years at South Coast Air Quality Management District in California. After retirement, Allan moved to West Jordan. Allan was a long-time temple worker at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. In his spare time, Allan loved math, creating complex fractal patterns, and music. He played the guitar, ukulele, and the banjo. A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah, with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 am.
