Alvin Glen Snarr, 92, passed away July 10, 2011 at his home. He was born August 25, 1918 in Murray, Utah, to Daniel H. and Lula Huish Snarr. Married Donna Jeanne Smith (deceased) June 14, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Married Wyoma Faucett Robison March 1, 2003. \n\nAfter graduating from BYU, he was employed as Circulation Manager for the LDS Church Magazines and also taught Seminary. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served in many callings, including YM General Board, Bishop, 1st Counselor in the Stake Presidency and Stake Patriarch. Served 3 LDS missions, and served as a sealer in the Jordan River Temple. \n\nSurvived by wife Wyoma, his 8 children, Stan (Linda), Sterling (Vanda), Dan (Rhonda), Dave (Dennese), Lynell “Elmer” (Bonese), Lynette (Deon) Mayhew, Lee Anne (Ron) Cox, LaRee (Robert) Davis, 41 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren; brother Don (Jean) Snarr and Thelma Nielsen. Preceded in death by wife Donna and his parents.\n\nViewing will be held Thursday, July 14th, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15th, 11:00 a.m. at Riverside 2nd Ward, 464 W. Germania Ave. (5150 S.). A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment at Murray City cemetery.
