Amy Cahoon

Our beloved daughter, sister, and mother, Amy Lee Cahoon age 44 of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on May 16, 2023.

Amy was born on June 16, 1978, to Kenneth Cahoon and Leah Cepeda in Missoula, Montana. Amy grew up in Montana where she enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Her childhood was filled with memories of playing with her sisters, April and Amber. After moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, she graduated from Granite High School. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Utah. At the time of Amy’s passing, she was working at FedEx where she enjoyed the love and relationships with so many of her kind co-workers. Amy had one son, Samuel Burn with Daniel Burn, followed by a daughter, Melina Garcia with Rogelio Garcia. Her children were the light of her life.

Amy was a gentle soul who offered compassion, warmth, and light to all who met her. Her spirit of kindness enveloped everyone who knew Amy. In her free time Amy enjoyed music, dancing, games, crafting, writing, and spending time with her children. She showcased her brilliance when playing Jeopardy with her family. Nothing will replace our dear Amy and she will be greatly missed.
