The day that God says “It's time to come home child”, I will no longer be in pain.
- Anna Vainga Nye Iafeta
September 17, 1985 - November 17, 2023
Anna was born September 17, 1985 in Salt Lake City, UT to Siosifa Hale Nai & Matamoana Ngaue-Nai. She was the oldest of 5 & the only girl.
Anna was a woman of faith. In the summer of 2005 she attended Faith Trek in Denver, CO. This was a significant moment in her faith walk that ignited her relationship with God.
Anna loved music. She loved to dance whether it was a goofy moment, ballet, or rehearsing the dance moves from the Save The Last Dance movie. You could find her singing her favorite song or singing the national anthem in various sporting events at her High School. She graduated from Juan Diego Catholic High School in 2004.
In 2008 Anna married Nelson Leituala. She was unexpectedly widowed in 2011. Love couldn't stay away from Anna. Her heart was captured by it again when she met Jerome Iafeta. They tied the knot in 2017.
Leadership was natural for Anna. Her skillset was put to use in various roles in many companies like Marriott International, Sutter Health & Mountain America Credit Union. Her leadership followed her faith walk when she preached her first sermon/failotu in 2006 at Laumalie Ma’oni’oni Church.
Anna was passionate about family. She loved her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews & fur baby Skye. Her nieces & nephews were her kids. They were her pride & joy.
Anna was genuine. She made time for people. She made deep connections that made people feel safe. Her friends could testify to this. If she was alive she’d give a side eye and say “you know who you are”.
Anna's faith in God was tested continuously. Trials & tribulations came but she remained a women of prayer. It brought her to a true place of surrender.
Anna was a woman of detail. She cared about having a space that was safe, clean & homey. She loved a good eye brow, a cute long trench coat and red lipstick. If you see someone walking by wearing red & black with silver jewelry with the scent of Ralph Lauren, you knew it was Anna.
She loved a good American Sports Car. Her red Dodge Charger was her prized possession. She bragged about its all wheel drive capabilities and how she never got stuck in the snow. It made her feel like she was on top of the world.
Anna is survived by her husband Toafala Jerome Iafeta, her parents Siosifa Hale Nai & Matamoana Nai. Her brothers John Lautaimi Nye, George Lausii Nye, Joseph Hale with wife Shalia Nai-Nye, Nicholas JB Nai with wife Karina Nai, children Nikolasi Jonathan Samani Nai (RIP), Siosifa Hale Nai Jr, Angela Rita Nai, Evelyn Elenoa Nai, Anna Va'inga Jr, Timote Lautaimi Nai & Fur baby Skye Iafeta.
Anna's Funeral Services are Friday November 24, 2023 at the Point Church at 8am - 1pm followed by her burial at Valley View Cemetery.
Anna's favorite scripture was:
Saame 23:1, Psalms 23:1
Ko hoku tauhi ‘a Sihova, he ‘ikai teu masiva.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
Anna's favorite Hymn was:
