Arthur Brent Childs was born on March 23, 1945 in Standardville (Carbon County) Utah. Died of natural causes at his home on Wednesday, January 11, 2006.
Born to Regina Anderson Childs and Owen Childs. He grew up in Carbon County and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Granite High School in 1964 and married Patricia M. Osborne in the same year, later divorced. He owned and managed his family bakery with his brother Dean. Later on he became a Carpenter building homes and commercial buildings throughout the Western United States. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping with his family and raising and riding horses, boating, and water skiing. He will be missed by all who loved him. Survived by his son Allen Brent (Julie) Childs, LaGrande, OR. Daughter Desiree Dawn (Guy) Christiansen, Bountiful, Utah. Sister Connie (Leon) Christensen, Huntington, Utah, Sister-in-law Lajuana Childs, Ferron, Utah. He had 6 grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by son Robert Dean Childs, brother Dean Childs, and Parents. We love you Dad and hope to see you again some day.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 E. 4580 So. Friends and family may call Thursday from 11:30 -12:30 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 So. State Street.
