Audrey Mace Lunnen

Audrey Mace Lunnen, 94, our beloved mother, friend, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2012.Born in West Jordan, Utah on September 22, 1917, she was the fifth of thirteen children born to Joseph and Laura Mace. Mom married the love of her life, Gerald D. Lunnen (Jerry) on September 26, 1936 in Crescent. They were blessed with four daughters, Delores Meyrick (Paul, deceased), Sharon (Sherri) Lunnen, Linda Eyre (Ralph), and Carollee Christensen (Ron). Grandmother to 11, great-grandmother to 39, and great-great-grandmother to 22 loving grandchildren.Mom was a self-taught musician and artist and many of the fruits of her talents adorn her home today. The highlight of her later years was to hop on the bus and join her many friends for lunch and exercise class at the Sandy Senior Center. She could kick her legs higher than anybody. Mom’s gentle soul, sweetness and uncomplaining stubborn nature endured to the end.Survived by one brother (Bob), three sisters (Ruby, Loa, and Jerry) and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice for the kind and loving care they gave Mom, and the much appreciated support they gave us girls.SHE ALMOST MADE IT TO 95.Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S). Viewings will be held Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm and Friday from 11:00-11:45 am prior to the services. Interment at Crescent Cemetery.
