Sister, Daughter, Teacher, Friend\nMy name is Becke Jean Probert. I was born April 15, 1960; I succumbed to my battle of Cervical Cancer in the early morning of November 7, 2009, within two months of diagnosis. My family stayed with me during this time and they wished me a peaceful journey to the next life. During this time, I was able to have many wonderful visits with my family and friends, who were supportive of me.\nI was raised in Murray, Utah along with my four sisters. We are the “Probert” girls. We spent many vacations, dinners, Shakespearen Festivals, laughs and tears together. Nobody messed with us. After my mother passed away, also from cancer, at a young age, my dad, who was also my hero, brought into my life a new mother with an additional sister and two brothers. Our families united and we had many parties and holidays together. We never turned down the chance for a good meal.\nI received a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree in Education from Utah State University. I taught as a Special Education teacher and a Reading Specialist for 24 years. Above my front door, are the words:”Live Well, Laugh Often and Love Much”. In life’s journey I was blessed to experience all of these joys through my wonderful family and friends. These are my most important treasures.\nI was so appreciative of the years I spent teaching. This has enabled me to find a remarkable group of women that became my very special friends in and out of this vocation. (You know who you are.) I love and appreciate you all so much. You are all very special to me.\nI have never regretted not having children of my own. I had so many wonderful nieces and nephews to enjoy and many great students that I have been blessed to work with.\nMy parents are Melvin C. and Darlene Probert, who are both deceased, and Lanez Probert my surviving mother. My sisters and brothers, Linda (Walter) Reynolds, Susan (Lloyd) Filby, Rolayne Fink, Margie (Scott Vee) Jacobson, Jed (Cheryl) Johnson, Scott Lee Johnson and Lisa (Coley) Crawford and my dog Lily.\nI want to thank my sisters who gave me such kind and loving care 24 hours a day throughout this difficult challenge. I am also grateful for the love and support of my entire family and cherished friends. I will miss you but will see you soon. \nI was preceded in death by my mother and my father, my brother-in-law Kevin Fink, my nephew Troy Filby and my beloved dog “Daisy”.\nLove, Becke\nFuneral Services will be Thursday, November 12th at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So.
