Becky Kester Butterfield passed away quietly at home in West Jordan, Utah on April 20, 2020 and is now at peace.\r\n\r\nBecky was born on December 2, 1972 to Richard Ellis and Sharen May (Jones) Kester in Murray, Utah. She had a happy childhood with three older sisters and two younger brothers. If she didn’t want to do something she would start at the bottom of the siblings and work up until one of them would do her job. This was one of the first signs of her intelligence. She grew up with her family and friends in Murray. She attended Viewmont Elementary, Riverview Jr. High, Murray High School, and the University of Phoenix.\r\n\r\nEducation came easy to her. Whenever she was challenged and she wanted to do something she would excel in that area. In junior high and high school she excelled in swimming, winning many trophies and medals. In college she received her Bachelor of Science, e-Business, Coursework in Business and General Education, CompTIA A+ Certification, MAC OS X Training, CCNA, and MCSE. She was a business professional with broad-based administrative and IT experience. With these talents and abilities, she worked for United Parcel Service, American Express, and Progressive Insurance Company. She was recognized for the ability to analyze complex situations and resolve problems in work environments.\r\n\r\nBecky had a great sense of humor and was loved by her peers and family. She had a magnetic personality of drawing people to her. She loved her nieces and nephews and convinced them that she was the “Best Aunt” of the family. Without having children, she had an incredible love for her dogs, Daisha and Jade, who gave her a lot of happiness and comfort.\r\n\r\nOn March 8, 2002 Becky married Donnie David Butterfield with two children, Tracy and Steven. With many years of happiness, they divorced on April 25, 2018. Later, she became engaged to Drex Dixon, the love of her life.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her parents, Richard and Sharen Kester; siblings: Jackie Hall, Angela (Richard) VanAlfen, Richard Leo, and David Bert (Jennifer Garcia); 3 nieces; 11 nephews; plus many aunts and uncles.\r\n\r\nBecky is joined in happiness and peace with her beloved dog, Daisha, and her sister, Shanna Kester, who died January 23, 1983.\r\n\r\nGraveside services by invitation only will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
