Beloved Mother\nBernice passed away on March 5th, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. She was born September 9th, 1934 in Milford, Utah to Phillip and Blanche Bradfield.\nBernice graduated from West High School in 1953. She attended Northwest Nazarene College, where she met her future husband, Robert Willard. They married in 1955 and had four children. They were later divorced. She graduated from the Utah Technical College with an AA degree in Commercial Art in 1977. She worked as an Art Director for American Label Company from 1976 through 1983. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed painting.\nHer marriage to George Wiens in 1980, brought a breath of fresh air into her life. They had a joyful time traveling and exploring the western United States together, hiking, or just “escaping”, and sleeping out in the west desert. George passed away in 1988. She married Raymond Paxman in 1988 and he passed away in 1989.\nShe is survived by her brother: Phillip (Dorothy) Bradfield, (Rupert, ID), her children; James Willard, (Salt Lake) Elaine (Russ) Williams (Centerville), and Marvin Willard (La Honda, CA). She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marian (Chet) Wells, husbands, George and Ray, and by her son, Tom Willard. Her family would like to extend a very special thanks to Garden Terrace for lovingly caring for our mother all these past years.\nShe dedicated her life at a young age to serving the Lord with a pure heart. She lived all of her days with much joy as a child of God. She had a happy sunny nature, and her beautiful smile touched many lives\n“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”.
