West Jordan, Utah
Bonnie Jean Gabrys Glenn, age 69, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Murray, Utah surrounded by her family.
In the spring of 1956, she was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and Nedra Gabrys, the youngest of their five children. In 1987 she married the love of her life, Buck Glenn, in Sandy, Utah. They built their life together in West Jordan, Utah where they raised their daughter Kagan.
Throughout her life Bonnie was unapologetically herself and if you didn’t like it then you could leave. She was strong willed and stubborn - qualities that gave her the strength and grit to get through the many challenges that she faced in life. Bonnie valued hard work, independence, and living life on her own terms. Her happiest times were spent outdoors hiking, camping, and wandering the desert with her head bent looking for arrowheads. Her other hobbies included cooking, canning, collecting antiques, and being creative. She loved sunflowers, bright colors, watching Little House on The Prairie, staying up late, a good cup of coffee any time of day, and spending time with family and friends who meant a lot to her.
She is survived by her husband, Buck, her daughter Kagan and son-in-law Steve Byron, and her three grandsons Hollis, Cedar, and Shepard.
Bonnie’s absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Like the wild desert that she loved to wander, she will be remembered for her strength and untamed spirit. Above all, she was loved, and we will miss her every day.
In keeping with her wishes, Bonnie will be cremated without a viewing. Friends and family are invited to a casual celebration of life luncheon in her honor on Sunday, September 21st from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Pioneer Hall / “Old Rock Church” located at 1137 West 7800 South, West Jordan, Utah.
