Brittany Sharp

–

West Jordan, Utah

Brittany “Bratt” Kay Sharp, born on September 6, 1977.
She grew her wings to fly free, becoming an angel on March 31, 2025. She was 47 years old.

She grew up in West Jordan, Utah and attended Kearns High School where she played soccer. Her soccer career continued as she attended Salt Lake Community College, at the same time as two of her brothers who played for the men’s team. Her mother was also involved in the soccer program as the student advisor for SLCC. Those were extraordinary times where lifelong friendships were formed. In the fall of 2003, she was eligible to play one last collegiate season with her younger sister at Cochise College in Arizona.

After college, Brittany devoted many years of her life managing many local indoor soccer facilities starting in Murray, then to Bountiful, and on to Lindon. She was named Manager of the Year multiple years. Her success directly resulted in a brand-new facility built in West Jordan. She took much pride in her work and made a profound name for herself in the soccer community.

Brittany had many talents outside of the soccer field. She had a deep passion for music, art, tarot, reiki, animals, gardening, and her most recent love, woodworking. She lived in San Diego, CA for several years where she sold her art at festivals. She was self-employed at B.K. Sharp Design where she made multiple pieces of furniture for family and friends, including the wooden buttons inspired by her grandmother, Shirley, who would often times leave her buttons as a message to let her know she was close.

Brittany loved her family very much, and although she never had children of her own, she found endless joy in being a stepmom. She was a loving caretaker to several pets throughout her life including her current “boys”, Lore and Ralphie

She was also a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. The deepest bond she had throughout her life was with her only sister, Kira. Brittany was proud to be a big sister, so much so that she named Kira from her favorite movie, Xanadu. The two sisters were inseparable and did everything together. Although they were 7 years apart, they were often thought of as twins.

Brittany was known to many for her strength, bravery, fun, and talents. She described herself in one word that she positively lived up to (Complicated.) She will surely be missed by so many; she truly was one-of-a-kind.

Brittany was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Shirley Sharp, Max and Wanda Ellison, Uncles Robert (Linda) Ellison, Gary Ellison, Tom Ellison and her special cousins Wendy Ellison and Mickel Sharp. She is survived by her parents Ken and Debbie Sharp, her siblings Jeremy Sharp, Bryan Sharp, Steven Sharp, John Sharp, Kira Sharp, by many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
