Bryan Westover

–

Murray, Utah

Our loving Husband, Grandfather, Uncle, Son, Brother, and Friend passed away in the early morning hours of March 23, 2022 of causes incident to age.

A lover of every sport (especially his beloved Boston Red Sox) and an individual personal champion of many, including the State of Utah Tennis Champion, 7-time Utah State Table Tennis Champion and National Table Tennis Runner-up, baseball, basketball, and golf.

Dad won many awards in his early years. He leaves behind a legacy of warriors that follow his footsteps including 13 grandchildren that inherited his will to never give up, ambition, and an unwavering tenacity to achieve all we put our minds to. He was a big-hearted and argumentative soul and never backed down, which made for some interesting conversations.

He cared deeply and that is why he had such a hard time leaving us. We will miss his kindness, compassion, loyalty, and love that he constantly showed and would and did give us all he had to give to the end.

His career included working many years as an accountant at CIT Financial and Sales at BMW Murray for 20 years where he gained many, many friends.

He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was deeply spiritual in his own way and was always kind and loved and cared for his fellowmen.

He was truly a Legend.

Bryan was born November 6, 1930 to Delpha Jolley and Lawrence Westover in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was a 1949 graduate of West High School and was a loyal Panther to the end. He married Patricia Ann Hendry on October 13, 1951 in Elko, Nevada and raised one daughter and three sons in the Murray area. With his sons he was always coaching them in sports and supporting his daughter in her endeavors.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelly (Ryan Daw); sons, Mike and Drake; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Pat, who passed away September 14, 2018; his son, Bradley Craig; daughter-in-law, Suann; and his two brothers and two sisters.

A special thank you to Canyon Hospice, his nurse Ashley, his Chaplain, and friend Ruth for their unwavering love and devotion to our Dad.

Special thanks to his two nephews, Brad Bevan and Ben Blue, who were best friends with their uncle, and his niece, Cherie Westover, who took special care of him in his last months.

We will miss his humor which was unmatched and his one liner’s that always made us laugh.

He was a joy to all who knew and loved him. We love you Dad!
