Calvin Hodge
“Loving Husband, Father,
& Friend”

Our wonderful husband, father, brother and friend died peacefully on October 17, 2005 at the age of 80. Cal was born June 4, 1925 in Butte, Montana to John J. Hodge & Blanche Kitt Hodge. He attended school in Eureka, Utah. He met and married his sweetheart, Beverly Elton. They have been married for 55 years.

Dad served in the Navy during WWII and during the Korean War recommissioning Navel vessels. Dad was a real people person and never met a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went.

Cal worked as an electrical engineer for the VA Hospital where he was Chief of Operations until his retirement in 1979. After his retirement, Cal and Bev moved to Hawaii, living there for 7 years working with his brother-in-law, El, on water well rigs.

Cal and Bev loved to travel—visiting Japan, China, and England just to name a few. If his health had allowed him, he would be traveling today.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Blanche; and a sister, Blanche. Survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his six children, Jill Curtis, West Jordan; Wendy Hodge, Georgia; Mark (Karen), Georgia; Craig, West Jordan; Candy Robinson (Guy), Murray; and Jack, Sandy; four granddaughters, Joette, Brittany, Amber, and Brooke; and four great-grandchildren.
