Carlene Ann Richmond Wootton Obituary (1928 - 2009)

Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother passed away peacefully on May 2, 2009 at the place she loved best, home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November, 26, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl S. Richmond and Ann Birrell Richmond. She married David Richardson Wootton on March 1, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She took pride in her home and garden. She also worked at Zims. She was a visiting teacher for the relief Society for many years. She collected plates from almost all of the 50 states, loved playing cards, and working the TV Guide crossword puzzles. She is survived by her children; Carol Enright, Linda (Johnny) Burrola, David W. Wootton, Sharon Edwards, Steven (Karen) Wootton, Brother “Sir” Edward Richmond, Sister-in-law Betty Richmond, Step-brother Paul Phillips, and Step-sister Lael (Gene) O’toole. Preceded in death by her parents, husband (David R.), Brother Clair “Bud” Richmond, Sister Margaret “Marge”, Half-brothers Jack Richmond and Walter “Buz” Richmond, Step-brothers Bob Phillips, Neal Phillips, and Keith Phillips. Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday May 7, 2009 at Jenkins Soffe 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah where friends may call one hour prior to the service and on Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the mortuary. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Alpine Hospice.
