Carol Morgan Beal
Our angel mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on August 5, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born on March 4, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wayne Spencer Morgan and Georgeva Giles Morgan. She was raised in Salt Lake City, where she enjoyed a happy childhood. She graduated from East High School and then attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
Carol had a fulfilling 40-year career with the State of Utah, where she compassionately helped thousands of individuals to find hope during difficult times. Her dedication, integrity, and selfless service earned her numerous awards and commendations from several Utah governors.
Above every accomplishment, Carol's greatest joy and life's purpose were her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to Michelle (Dennis) Wright, Kathie (Casey) Ryan, and Jeff (Lana) Beal, all of Murray, Utah.
Nothing brought Carol greater happiness than being "Grandma." She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren: Monica (Tom) Fletcher, Camilla Wright, Mikala (Chris) Holfeltz, Morgan (Teresa) Wright, Adam (Stephanie) Ryan, Jarom (Moniquea) Ryan, Brendon Ryan, Jessica (Dallin) Knott, Benjamin Beal, Jacob Beal, and Samuel Beal. Her love only grew as she welcomed her great-grandchildren: Molly Fletcher, Lacey Fletcher, Akoya Wallace, Ana Wright, Autumn Ryan, Lincoln Holfeltz, Franklin Holfeltz, Erin Michelle Holfeltz, Amelia Knott, and Brooks Knott. They were each precious to her, and she loved them with all her heart.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Spencer Morgan and Georgeva Giles Morgan; her beloved Daughter, Michelle Wright; her sisters, Shauni Morgan, Marlene (Larry) Kesler, and Judy (George) Latham. Carol is survived by siblings Spencer (Donna) Morgan, Laurie (Phil) Sainsbury, and Cheryl (Reed) Sprague, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Carol was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many Ward and Stake callings, including Relief Society President and Primary President. She also served missions at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, where she welcomed visitors and dignitaries from around the world with warmth and kindness, and later served for many years as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Utah Temple. Carol was fortunate to travel the world with her wonderful friends and loved sharing her adventures with others.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers who lovingly cared for Carol during her final days. We offer special thanks to Holladay Healthcare, The Abbington of Murray, and Canyon Hospice for their kindness, professionalism, and loving care.
Services will be Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Murray Utah North Stake Center, 5200 S. Glendon St., Murray, UT 84123. Viewing will begin at 9:30 am; Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
