Born in Gunnison, UT on Feb. 19, 1917, the daughter of Ernest Leonard and Ida Johnson Swalberg. When 18 months old, was stricken with Polio which left her needing to use crutches.\nShe came to SLC in 1939 where she attended LDS Business College. Carol used her exceptional secretarial skills in serving her family and the LDS Church throughout her life. For many years, Carol did genealogy and family history work.\nCarol was a wonderful example of love, patience, generosity and endurance to her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered.\nSurvivors include her sister-in-law, Margaret Stahr Swalberg; a nephew, Ernest David (Mary Ann) Swalberg, Murray, UT; a niece, Julie Ann (Craig) Dansie, Cody, WY; 9 grand nieces and nephews; and 20 great-grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ernest Uhlan (Rudy) Swalberg; and a baby sister, May Louise; and a grand nephew, Joseph Dansie.\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10 AM at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray, UT, where friends and family may call Friday 7-8 PM and Saturday 9-9:45 AM. Interment: Gunnison City.
