Kearns, Utah
Carolyn Connary was born on December 2, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the cherished daughter of the late Irvin Connary and Clara Olsen. Carolyn spent her later years residing in Kearns, Utah, where she passed away peacefully at her home.
Carolyn is survived by her sister Lois Shull; and family; her daughter Valerie Simonson & spouse; her grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great‑grandchildren; her daughter Francine Bird & spouse; and her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She lived a colorful, vibrant life — from being an entrepreneur who owned multiple businesses to working as a realtor. “Roadtrip” was one of her favorite words, especially if the word frugal was attached to it. She had a way of lighting up any room and was always a go‑getter.
Having coffee or tea with her meant you were about to receive a grocery list of ideas… or actual chores she needed done. Sitting down with her was basically entering a brainstorming session you didn’t know you signed up for. IYKYK. She could turn a five‑minute visit into a full‑blown mission, and somehow you’d end up doing it with a smile because she made everything feel like an adventure.
She was the type who could talk you into a roadtrip, a business idea, reorganizing her pantry, and maybe even a new hobby — all before you finished your drink. And she’d do it with that signature sparkle that made you think, “Well… maybe this is a good idea.”
