Ceann Harrison Serre Obituary (1949 - 2015)

Our beautiful mother, sister, grandmother, and wife passed away peacefully with her husband and family by her side. She was the fifth and last child born to Lewis Irving Harrison and Norma Christensen on March 8, 1949 in Salt Lake City. She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School in 1967. She married Jahn Prince and had two children Josh and Jennifer, later divorced. She then married Ken Serre in 1990. They spent the next 25 years together until her passing this December 24th. She worked for the State of Utah, Department of Workforce Service and retired from there in 2007 with 25 years of service. Survived by her husband Ken, children Josh and Jennifer, step-children Shannon (Leslie), Chara (Justin) and Joseph (Michal); 9 grandchildren, Cade Ludlow, Cassie, Brennen, Alyssa, Rachel, Chiara, J.J., Isalena Serre and Olivia Kautz; her sister Sally, Nancy (John), and brother David (Esther) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Norma Harrison, sister Kay and son-in-law Jared Barker. Ceann was a wonderful example of goodness, love and dedication to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. We would like to thank the staff at St. Marks Hospital, and Dr. Scott West and Dr. Eifling for the kind care of Ceann prior to her passing. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and then again on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah.
