Clive L. Jensen, our devoted dad, grandpa and great grandpa, passed away June 19, 2008. He was born December 15, 1922 in Orangeville, Utah to Leo Joseph Jensen and Alice Cyrena Davis. He married Grace Bunderson in the Salt Lake Temple December 1, 1948.\n\nDad served his country as a tail gunner on a B-26 bomber in the E.T.O. during World War II. He completed a B.S. degree at Utah State Agricultural College in 1951 and was awarded a M.S. degree from B. Y. U. in 1965.\n\nHe was a teacher in Blackfoot, Id., Emery County Utah, and Granite School District. He retired from Granite School District after 30 years of service, the last 18 as the Director of Vocational Education. During that time he developed and implemented a program where students built homes under the direction of professional contractors. Many of those students went on to become successful contractors and skilled professionals themselves.\n\nHe was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Some of his callings included that of ward clerk, stake mission president, bishop’s counselor, bishop and served on the stake high council. The highlight of his church service was serving, with his wife Grace as missionaries in the Denver, Colorado, Washington D.C. and Orlando, Florida temples and as ordinance workers in the St. George, Utah temple.\n\nDad loved his family and used his cabinet making and carpentry skills to bless the lives of his children. There was never a question that dad loved mom. He always enjoyed visits from his kids but the highlight of his day was when the grandkids came to visit.\n\nHe was loved by his children, their spouses, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dad and mom set the course for the lives of their family. He will be deeply missed but we know that dad is having a happy reunion with mom, grandson Tyler.\n\nHe is survived by his son Greg (Janice), and daughters Eraine, Lori (Gregory) Butler, and Leigh (Lane) Page. He is also survived by brothers Ted and James Lee, and sister Rae Ona, all of Price, Utah and brother Blain Jensen, Antioch, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sisters Lucile, Thelma and Phyllis and grandson Tyler Jensen.\n\nFuneral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 23 at the Millcreek 2nd Ward, 4200 S 420 E, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the ward. Interment will follow at the Murray Cemetery.\n\nWe would like to thank Dr. Gary Griffin, Legacy House staff and especially the staff at The Residence of Care Source for the kindness and care they gave to Clive and our family during his final days.
