Clyde Dennis Meadows

Clyde Dennis Meadows died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 26, 1936 in Murray, Utah. Son of Clyde L. & Vera J. Gronlund Meadows. Married Nelean Stevens Wheeler March 11, 1963, later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. He grew up in Holladay, attended the University of Utah graduating with a B.S. Degree in Pharmacy. He was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah, and was a Preceptor to many young pharmacy students. He was a well-loved pharmacist in the Salt Lake Valley.He was an active member of the L.D.S. Church, an avid reader, loved working with wood and gardening. He and Nelean were privileged to travel to many places throughout the world and meet many wonderful members of the extended family. Preceded in death by parents and son, Jeffery Meadows. Survived by wife and eight children, Scott (Yuko) Meadows, David (Tonja) Meadows, Anthony (Brianna) Meadows, Matt (Stephenie) Meadows, Todd (Cindy) Meadows, Linnea Meadows, Kristy Meadows, and Laura Meadows. Nine grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday March 2, 2008 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Jenkins -Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, and again prior to funeral services at Olympus 5th Ward located at 3070 East Nila Way (4120 South) on Monday March 3, 2008 at 10:00 - 10:45 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.The family wishes to extend special thanks to Inspiration Hospice for their exceptional care.In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or any other charity of your choice.
