“Mac”\nClyde McCleery Spencer passed away on Tuesday July 17, 2007. Clyde was the youngest of five brothers and second to the youngest of ten children of William John Spencer and Addie Elizabeth Tall.\nClyde was born on July 24, 1919 in Thomas, Idaho. He entered the Naval Reserve in 1942 and graduated from the University of Utah in 1943 with a Bachelors degree in bacteriology. Clyde M. Spencer married Juanita Turner of North Carolina on May 14, 1944. Lt. Spencer spent a year and a half in the South Pacific in the Solomon Islands on a LC (L) landing craft. After His return from the South Pacific, Clyde became a manager at the Utah Department of Employment Securities and retired from there.\nHe is survived by his sister Dorothy Lorraine (Bill W.) Nielson and sister in-law, Ula Spencer.\nGraveside Services will be held at Midvale City Cemetery, 450 W. 7500 S. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 11:00 am. Friends may call Wednesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St.
