Roger Cole Dalton

–

West Jordan, Utah

Roger Cole Dalton, age 61, passed away on March 30, 2023 at his home in West Jordan, UT.

Cole was born to Roger and Jacquelyn Dalton on May 28, 1961.

He spent a lifetime working in the lumber industry. His career was spent as a leader in a fast-paced industry that required excellence and accuracy.

Cole spent his personal time with his wife Wendy and his two dogs (Chance and Bella). He loved fishing, good beer and spending time with family. Earlier in his life Cole enjoyed deer hunting with his father, his uncles and his brothers in Southern Utah. He also built a 68 Camaro at Kearns Auto that he loved to race at Bonneville Raceway. He had many lifelong friends and was always quick with an entertaining story about those days.

Cole married his wife Wendy in 1993 and later moved to West Jordan, Utah where he lived until his passing. He had one son, Jesse Dalton and 2 stepsons Dylan and Nick Astle. He spoke of family often and was proud of his heritage and legacy.

Cole was a generous person with his time and experience, offering help to anyone in need whether he had known them a day or a lifetime. If there is one thing about Cole you should know he loved people and was sentimental about the experiences he shared with everyone. Even while working hard, taking care of his wife and home he found time to stay in touch with family and friends. Our lives are forever changed and he will be deeply missed.

Cole’s passing is preceded in death by: Father, Roger Dalton; and Mother, Jacquelyn Dalton.

Survived by: Wife, Wendy Dalton; Son, Jesse Dalton; Step-sons, Dylan (Teisha) Astle and Nick (Lara) Astle; eight grandchildren, Jayden, Landon, Brooklyn, Mason, Steven, Caleb, Hailey and Taylor; Brothers, Brett (Stacey) Dalton, Clay (Natalie) Dalton, Wayne (Kimberly) Dalton; and Mother-in-law, Donna C. MacKay, who loved him like a son.
