Colt Branden Jensen Obituary (1982 - 2017)

Colt returned home to his father in heaven on Saturday morning, the 28th of January, after a long battle with addiction. Colt Branden Jensen was born on April 2, 1982 in Salt Lake City. He grew up on Top of the World drive in Cottonwood Heights where he graduated from Brighton High School Class of 2000. He served an LDS mission to Roseville California and loved the work that he accomplished. Life for Colt was an adventure, and he always pushed it to the extreme. His love for friends and family was always first in his heart, which was always giving and open and willing to serve others. Colt was a good friend to many and loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by many. Colt was very successful and enjoyed working as an insurance agent for the family agency. In his off time, Colt was passionate about working out, weight lifting and body building. He won 1st place and 2nd All Around in his category during Competition. He also enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, traveling with family, four wheeling, wave running, scuba diving, Skydiving, boating at Lake Powell, and playing and coaching football. Colt is survived by his father, Kim R. Jensen, mother Lori Fae Jensen, brothers Ryan J. Jensen, Trevor R. Jensen, Jess D. Jensen (Amy) and his favorite nephew, Jackson D. Jensen. His Grandparents Reed C. Durham, and Faye Durham, and many loving Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrell J. Jensen, his grandmother, Gwen L. Jensen, Uncle Gregory D. Jensen, and Aunt Tracy Jensen. Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley (1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy., South Jordan, Utah) at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held at the same location prior to the funeral from 9:00am – 10:45 am.
