To view a video tribute for Connie Robertson Hansen, please click here.\nConnie Robertson Hansen, wife, mother, and proud grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Father July 22, 2006 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.\nShe was born October 18, 1944 in Alameda, California to Mabel Jewkes and Leslie J Robertson. They later moved to Utah where she attended schools in Carbon County and Brigham City. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1962.\nConnie married LaVar June Hansen on June 23, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were married for 44 years. Their union will last for eternity. She was blessed with one daughter, Kathy.\nConnie was a sports enthusiast. She was an accomplished softball pitcher. She enjoyed coaching in the young women’s sports program in her LDS ward. Her knowledge of all sports was phenomenal, especially football. No greater “Cougar Fan” could be found.\nShe served in many church callings and enjoyed each one. She was especially great at being a visiting teacher. She truly loved and served the sisters she taught.\nHer life had many challenges caused by numerous health problems. She faced each one with faith and courage and with her husband by her side. We rejoice in the knowledge that she is healthy once again.\nThe pride and joy of her life was her four grandchildren: Tyson, Kelsie, Kylie, and Jaxson McDonald. She exhibited unwavering support for them in all of their endeavors. Her love for them is without end.\nConnie is survived by her husband, LaVar June Hansen; daughter, Kathy (Matt) McDonald; mother, Mabel Jewkes Robertson; sister, Marlene (Clark) Rowley; brother, Boyd (Jo) Robertson; brother-in-law, Afton M Hansen; sister-in-law, Cuma (Dennis) Hansen; an aunt and two uncles; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Connie, we all love you and we will miss you.\nPreceded in death by her father, Leslie J Robertson; father and mother-in-law, Melvin (Enid) Hansen; and brother and sister-in-law, Gayle (Iva Mae) Hansen.\nFuneral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Winder 4th Ward, 3825 So. 951 E. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and also from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
