Connie Lea Merritt

Our loving daughter, Connie, was taken home to rest in the arms of Jesus on January 25, 2013, age 55. She is now free of pain and sorrow.Connie was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 28, 1957, to parents, Robert L. Merritt & Louise Y. Merritt. She was reborn as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism in August 1957.Connie was a hard worker, an avid reader, loved her cats and loved the mountains.She is survived by her mother, Louise of Salt Lake City; her father, Robert & stepmother Gloria of Ogden; siblings, Justin and Jennifer and their families; also her aunt, Delores Wimmer of Salt Lake City; uncle, Jim Justi of Chicago; and uncle, Bill Osolin of Florida.A Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1030 S. 500 E., Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Connie’s name at Zions Bank.Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
