Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend, Dale Rulon Jensen, passed away on September 30, 2010 at his home in Clinton, Utah. He was born July 18, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melba Jensen Beckstead and Rubon Victor Jensen. He married his high school sweetheart, Maxine Taylor, on October 29, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Dale attended schools in Murray, Utah and graduated from Murray High School in 1946. He spent his working years in the grocery business—mainly with produce. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a High Priest. He also served in the Bishopric, Sunday School, Boy Scouts, Primary, and Activities Chairman. (He knew how to throw a party!)He truly enjoyed the beauties of the world. His favorite pastime was to sit and watch the sunset. Every one was the prettiest.Dale is survived by his wife, Maxine Jensen; son, Terry Jensen (Tamara); daughters, Kristie Jensen (Barb), Jan Christensen (Chuck), Stacy Rowley, Rebecca Winchester (Colin); son, Blake Jensen (Lori); 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-laws, Jane Jensen, Alice Haueter (Denton)and Gwen Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank; sister, Lavon; grandson, Nicholas Rowley; sister-in-law, Jackie Eustance; and brother-in-law, Doran Eustance.“His children were the apples of his eye.”Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Union Fort 5th Ward, 6770 South 500 East. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, and Tuesday from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
