A life well lived

Daniel Dostal passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of twenty-one. Those who knew him will remember a young man with an uncommon love for life—curious, warm, and determined to live on his own terms.

He dreamed of living in the mountains and of creating peace here on earth. That vision guided him. Daniel was passionate about making his body healthy and strong and keeping his spirit free. He trained with purpose, moved with intention, and carried himself with a quiet belief that strength of body and freedom of spirit belong together.

The ocean was another home. He loved the water and the life that gathers around it—especially rowing, where effort, rhythm, and open air meet. Friends and family will picture him on the water: focused, smiling, fully present.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Pavlina and Jay Dostal, who loved him deeply and who now hold the stories of a son who lived with heart.
