Darla came to earth on November 6, 1951. Her proud parents were Howard Lee and LaVerna Ricks, of SLC, Utah. She had three sisters: Shauna Lee Frazier (Garrick), Vicki Ricks and Jaena Gibson (Brent). She married her first husband, Clinton Walter Goodfellow on January 27, 1967. From this union, her three children were born: Clinton Troy (Marci) Goodfellow, Elisha Kay (Thomas) Kochendorfer and Cody Anthony (Cozette) Goodfellow. Clint and Darla were later divorced. She carried on as a single mother until she married the love of her life, Wallace (Chico) Scott Bowden on February 14, 1987; sealed together for all time and eternity in the Jordan River Temple on August 29, 2018. Chico had two children already; Theresa Gail (Michael) Turner and Kaz Linza, Theresa became the daughter of Darla’s heart as they raised her from seven to adulthood. She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by; her parents, her sister Shauna and son Clinton Troy Goodfellow.
Darla had many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints including primary chorister, cub master, relief society secretary and first counselor, activity committee coordinator, scout master, ordinance worker for many years at the Jordan River Temple and Relief Society President.
Darla also had a career as a business and credit analyst for 25 plus years with Dun & Bradstreet and Wright Express Financial Services. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, backpacking, hunting and horseback riding. She loved her family more than anything. The house was always full of love with people whom she loved and loved her back just as much.
She was constantly on the go, doing things for her family and the church. She was a fighter till the very end. Until we meet again, we all love you so very much and will cherish each and every moment we had together.
Thank you to Quality Home Health and Hospice.
