David Dennis Loveridge

Passed away August 16th, 2026. Born October 16th, 1974 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Marsha Ann Bishop and Dennis Thorup Loveridge. Dave was the oldest of 6 children.

Growing up in the Salt Lake valley, he spent most of his early years as a hay baler, bull rider and working at his dad’s company. Dave was the protector for his younger siblings while doing the things he protected them from. He was a hooligan, always getting in and out of trouble. He graduated from Bingham high school and immediately started full time at Loveridge Machine. He always wanted to be a police officer, but couldn’t. Instead, he spent his life helping others with anything he could. He would learn any skill he did not know to be able to help someone, becoming the jack of all trades that he was.

Throughout his life he had many passions and projects to keep him busy. This led him to learn and master many new things. He became a machinist, carpenter, wood worker, a landscaper, mechanic, and a mover. He always needed to move his hands and keep busy. He was always the first to show up to help, be an ear if you needed and a friend no matter what. He loved to pull pranks on his children and loved ones, offering them money to do some outrageous task. If someone completed the task, he thought it was the funniest thing in the world. His laugh could fill a whole room and light up any space he was in. He was a fantastic story teller, recounting his days going on crazy adventures with his friends. Somehow he was able to convince all of his friends to go along with a crazy plan he had, while they might have been scared in the moment, it was something you remember for the rest of your life. Mostly because he’d call you a wimp if you didn’t do it.

He loved to spend his time off camping with family and traveling to as many states as possible. Taking his kids through many random roadside adventures. He created so many fun memories lighting things on fire, cooking the best breakfast casserole you’d ever have, driving around aimlessly to find the perfect camp spot until everyone was ready to go home. He knew how to make sure everyone had a great time, even when we saw the peach cobbler be flung into the fire.

He is the father of 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and 5 honorary kids. He is survived by his loving wife: Dorothy, Father: Dennis, Children: Kalin (Viv), Kayla(Diego), Chelsea (Bradshaw), Rayne (Mari), Laura (Tate), Grandchildren: Kendric. Honorary children: Kate, Jared, Jacob, Lyric, Hendrix, Siblings: Dan (Johanna), Robert (Sabrina), Tim(Joey), Anjuli (Ryan), Richard (Cortni). Preceded in death by his mother Marsha.
