\r\n\r\nDeanne Jacobson Peters passed away July 14, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born May 9, 1933 in Provo, Utah to Emil and Daisy Jacobson. She attended Brigham Young University High School “BY High” where she excelled on the cheerleading squad. She attended BYU and during college worked in San Francisco where she was a runner-up in the Miss Golden Gate pageant. She married Jerry Peters on October 7, 1955, and later moved to Murray where they raised four children. Deanne loved to travel overseas and follow the University of Utah sports teams with Jerry and their close friends. Both she and Jerry enjoyed bowling, bridge and trips to Las Vegas. They were long-time members of the Cottonwood Country Club.\r\n\r\nDeanne is survived by her four children: Alan Peters (Lori), Nancy Jacobson (Scott), Carolyn Boyd (Randy), and Todd Peters (Becky); along with 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her passion for archaeology, love for her family and astute insights on world events will be missed but never forgotten.\r\n\r\nFuneral Services will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, with a viewing prior to services from 12:00-12:45 p.m. \r\n\r\nInterment: Holladay Memorial Park.
