DeMar W. Brimhall Obituary (1915 - 2010)

At just two weeks short of his 95th birthday, DeMar Woodrow Brimhall’s soul soared heavenward leaving behind an extended family, son, Larry Brimhall (Cheryl), daughters L. Jean Fuhriman (Kim) and Judy B. Young (Charles), 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. During his life time DeMar’s adventures took him to New Mexico, Nevada, and lastly residing in Draper, Utah then Murray, Utah. He was involved in the construction industry, retiring early and having the opportunity of traveling to various destinations with many of his close friends who were so very important to him and so very much appreciated. One of DeMar’s great loves was the work he did in connection with the Pony Express organization which kept him involved with his love for horses and the wild west he knew as a young man. Along the way he has been enriched by hundreds of wonderful and inspirational people he knew, and has a host of them waiting to welcome him in this step of eternal life. DeMar was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and over the years served in many positions. During his wife Therma’s long illness (she preceded him in death) he dedicated his time to her care. With great respect and love, his family honors him and his life of service and love. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Murray LDS Clay Park Chapel, 67 West Clay Park Drive (near 6400 South & State Street) Murray, Utah at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 -10:45 a.m. in the Relief Society Room. Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S State, Murray, Utah. Interment Draper City Cemetery.
