DeMarise Marie Hatfield Obituary (1942 - 2010)

“An Elect Lady”Marie passed away May 10, 2010. She was born on August 24th, 1942 in Tobymory, N.C. She is the oldest of the seven children of Ed and Cornelia Taylor.She was the Pioneer for her family in joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She raised her children in doing service for others. During her children’s growing-up years, her best role was Mother. She was home as we came home from school every day. During Deborah’s years of need, her mother was there unselfishly. Over the last 17 years, she cared for her grandson, Micheal, and saw the roles reversed as he cared for her over the last five years or so.Survived by her three children, Katherine Marie Hayes (Alan) of Nampa, ID, Clarence Albert Hatfield, Jr. (Lisa) of Jacksonville, FL, Sherri Renee Hatfield of Taylorsville, UT. Also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Terry, Richard, Brian, Wanda and Helen; as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; two children, Ervin Ross Hatfield and Deborah Robin Hatfield; and brother, Ed, Jr. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 12 Noon at the Taylorsville LDS Chapel located at 955 W. 4800 S. Viewings will be held at the church Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday morning from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Marie’s name to the Primary Children’s Medical Center.
