Diane Louise Hake Stilinovich Obituary (1940 - 2006)

Diane Louise Hake Stilinovich, 66, a longtime Wenatchee and East Wenatchee resident, passed away at home on Sunday, March 5, 2006, following a brief illness. She was born on February 7, 1940 at Cashmere to the late Lawrence and Hilma (Youngberg) Hake. She was raised and attended schools in Wenatchee. In 1955, she was married to Philip VanMeter and had two children. She met and was later married to Steve Stilinovich at Reno, Nevada in 1989. They made their home together at Midvale, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband and returned to East Wenatchee. Diane loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to Reno with her siblings. She was generous to a fault and will be missed dearly by all those she has touched over the years. She was a member of Wenatchee Aerie #204 F.O.E. and the American Legion Post #10 Auxillary. She is survived by her children, Karla Sproul, Murray, UT and Phyllis (Joe) LeMay, West Valley, UT; two brothers, Douglas Hake, Wenatchee and Clifford (Linda) Hake, Simi Valley, CA; three sisters, Peggy McArthur and Loretta (Orville) Griffith all of East Wenatchee and Nancy (Jerry) Turner, Wenatchee; four grandchildren, Max (Brandie) Trujillo, Easton Millet, Robert Trujillo, Kayla Sproul and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Steve Stilinovich, two brothers, one infant brother, Larry Hake and Boyd Hake, one sister, Darlene Sheline and her son-in-law, Phillip Sproul. Commemoration services will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, with the Rev. John Sterk officiating. The service will conclude in the chapel. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Graveside and interment services will be held Tuesday, March 14th at 10:00 a.m. in the Murray City Cemetery, Murray, UT. Local arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
