Donna Lawson Burns Obituary (1928 - 2007)

I passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007, after many painful illnesses. I was born April 20, 1928, in Sandy, Utah, to James W. and Alice Ward Lawson. I married Bob Burns, but we were later divorced. I spent many years employed at Holy Cross Hospital. I loved my trips to Wendover with friends and family and enjoyed my time in the yard tending to many varieties of roses and tomato plants. I loved and cared for many animals over my lifetime. I am survived by my loving and caring daughter, Rebecca Burns; my sisters, Marge Hardcastle, Ruby Denos, Dixie Butterfield; my brother, John Lawson; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Della Showell; and my loving dog, Todd. I was preceded in death by my son, Rickey Burns; parents; sisters, Julia, Betty, Connie; brothers, James, Pete and Bud; and my beautiful cat, Leo. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., June 27, 2007 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Utah or Odyssey House.
