St. George, Utah
Donna B. Taylor Norton, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, in South Jordan, Utah, at the age of 84.
Donna was born on March 6, 1942, in Salina, Utah, to Owen Taylor and Blanch Christopherson Taylor. She graduated from North Sevier High School in 1960 and continued her education at LDS Business College, where she met Gerald Comish. They later married and were blessed with two sons, Chris and Todd, who were the pride and joy of her life. They later divorced. Donna began her life as a mother in Murray, Utah, where she raised her boys while working at Murray City Power. During those years, she formed many lasting friendships that she cherished throughout her life.
On May 3, 1986, Donna married the love of her life, Ted Norton. Introduced through their children, Tina and Chris, their connection was immediate and enduring. Together, they shared 39 beautiful years of love, companionship, and devotion. Their life together began in Sandy, in a subdivision Ted had helped build. They shared a love for long drives and adventure, which led them to Fairview, Utah—a place that captured their hearts. There, they built both a home and a cabin, creating a gathering place filled with memories for family and friends.
Donna and Ted later moved to St. George, seeking warmth and sunshine. True to their nature, they poured their energy into multiple homes before finding the perfect place with breathtaking views. Together, they enjoyed restoring properties—not for profit, but for the joy of hard work and accomplishment. Donna had an incredible work ethic and took deep pride in everything she did. She and Ted were true partners in every sense—soulmates whose love was evident to all who knew them.
Donna also found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She never missed her weekly trip for Costco grapes—a small tradition she looked forward to and delighted in—and she had a special talent for discovering treasures at yard sales, where she loved the thrill of the hunt and the stories behind each find.
Donna is survived by her sons, Chris (Tina) and Todd (Nino); her siblings, Don Taylor (Dorte), Anna Ray Halverson (Allen Vance), and sister-in-law Carrie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; her parents; her brothers Arland, Edgar, and Elton; and many beloved extended family members.
She was a devoted grandmother to five granddaughters and a proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Graveside Services will be on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S Vine St, Murray, Utah with a viewing at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 1230 PM, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah.
Donna will be remembered for her strength, kindness, unwavering love for her family, and the quiet way she made life better for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
