To watch these services, please click on the link below. \r\n\r\n Click HERE to view Funeral Services for Donnetta Bailey\r\n\r\nMom, 93, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020. She was warmly greeted in heaven by her loving husband, Thurlow Lee Bailey and Daughter, Bonnie Sue Bailey. Mom was the first of four children, born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Graduated from Murray High School. Mom met and married Thurlow Lee Bailey on June 11, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Thurlow had 4 children, Don, Chyrrel, Debbie, and Bonnie Sue.\r\n\r\nMom had many endearing qualities. She was known for recognizing her blessings. She frequently called loved ones after dinners, parties, or receiving help, to express thanks. Mom had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Singing was always a large part of her life. She grew up singing with her mother and sisters. Later in life she was a member of the American West Symphony and Chorus. She was also known for singing Happy Birthday to her loved ones, friends and Ward members. \r\n\r\nShe loved to share her testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Her gift was wanting to be a righteous women. She was a fully committed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from her youth. She loved all of her Church callings, but some of her favorites were Chorister, Relief Society President, and Relief Society Teacher. One of Mom’s choicest callings was when she and Thurlow served a mission to the Nauvoo Restoration Mission from 1998-1999. She loved sharing the history of the Church, and with her warm smile made everyone feel welcomed.\r\n\r\nMom is preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Sue (at 1 year of age), her husband, Thurlow, her parents, Genevieve and Harold Hofhine, and her sisters, Sherry Davis and Beverly Bailey. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her children; Don Bailey, (Jill), Chyrrel Cook, (Rex), Debbie Bierman, (Ray),12 Grandchildren, and 41 Great-Grandchildren. She also has a surviving sister, LoaDon Glade, (Bob).\r\n\r\nHer family would like to extend a special thanks to Cedarwood Assisted Living and to Envision Hospice for the countless hours of service in Donnetta’s behalf.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held on Wednesday December 30th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 9636 S. 1700 E., Sandy, Utah. Prior to the service a viewing will be held from 9:30 am -10:30 am Funeral Service 11:00 am- 12:00 pm Internment at Elysian Burial Gardens. Holladay, Utah.
