Our mother, grandmother, and sister passed away in her home on May 15, 2009, in Murray, Utah. She was the first daughter born to Wilford W. Sainsbury and Elsie Irene Taylor.\n\nDorothy moved around quite a bit during her young life. But at the close of WWII she met and married Charles D. Lampson. Together they lived in Tooele, Utah and raised their family. Dorothy worked briefly as a telephone operator during and after the war but spent her married life caring for her family and home. Mom loved the gospel. She worked in many positions from primary president to teacher in each organization. Mom was an excellent teacher and took her preparation seriously when instructing any group. She was creative, artistic and dedicated. She was a member of the first group of ordinance workers at the Jordan River Temple. She and dad loved this calling. Those years at Jordan River were the happiest of her whole life. She provided her family with many memories of holiday and birthday celebrations. She bore a strong testimony of Christ and the truthfulness of His gospel.\n\nDorothy is survived by her three daughters Sharlee, Carla Lever (Craig), and Marianne. She loved and valued her only grandchildren Amanda Lever and Emily Mills (Josh). She is preceded in death by her husband, son, Neil and sister, Irene.\n\nSpecial gratitude, love and appreciation must be noted for her caretaker and loving sister, Ruth. Ruth’s efforts were heroic in keeping Mom home until the end.\n\nGraveside services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery.
