Passed away on 11/5/21 in South Jordan, UT after a long battle with health problems. Dustin went peacefully in his sleep and is no longer suffering.\n\nDustin was born on 10-2-69 to Paul and Jett Owen (Nielsen) in Salt Lake City, UT. He was raised with 7 siblings: Sherry (Michael) Kurz, Tony (Jennifer) Owen, Wendy Joyner, Shane Owen, Jami Klaus, Marty (Eric) Owen, and Nikki Mitchell. Dustin attended and graduated West High School. He went on to attend ITT Tech and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He later went on to work his entire professional life in the IT field. His most notable job was working for the State of Utah as the manager of the states Bio-Terrorism IT department, which was his most favorite place of employment. Afterwards Dustin worked as a self employed IT Security Consultant.\n\nDustin married the Love of his Life Robyn Owen (Mudrow) on 2/17/01. They were lucky to have had 21 years together. Dustin leaves behind his wife and 3 beautiful children: Karissa Owen, (29) Braxton Owen, (26) and his miracle daughter Katarina Lynne Owen (daddy’s dolly) (20, but more like a 6 yr old) his most favorite duty in his life was to spend as much time with her as he could. She has special needs and Dustin worked from home to homeschool her and take care of her. He would say “God gave us one of his angels”. They had a very sweet special relationship that meant the world to him.\n\nHis greatest goal in life was to be more like his Dad Paul Owen who proceeded him in death. They are together now, as they were both firm believers that Jesus Christ is our lord and savior and we can take comfort we will be together again.\n\nDustin’s wishes were to be cremated on a pyre like the Vikings, but since that’s illegal he had to be cremated the normal boring way. A private family memorial has been carried out for him.\n\nDustin will be missed by all those who knew him, but he leaves behind all the love he had given to everyone.
