Evans, please click here.\n“Devoted to family and others” \nOn March 16, 2006 our dearly beloved husband and father, Earl Alfred Evans passed away peacefully in Salt Lake. Earl was born March 8, 1914 in Salt Lake. He was the second son of James Lewis and Eliza Cooke Evans. Earl married Frederika Louise Meyer on January 27, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 12, 1968.\nEarl had many wonderful experiences including piloting a Porterfield airplane that he loved to fly. He even proposed to Mom while flying. He was a successful multi business owner which included the original Culligan Softwater service in Salt Lake, a partnership with his two brothers, Lewis and Ray. In addition he owned a Ford dealership in Wyoming. \nEarl was active in his Church He loved serving and attending the Temple weekly. He was a volunteer LDS counselor at the Utah State prison for over 26 years and saw many miracles in the lives of his “boys”. Earl is survived by his wife Frederika, his two sons and two daughters; Brian L. Evans, Erlene L. Evans, Paula Barton and Jerry Evans. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.\nFuneral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2006, 11 am at the Murray 23rd Ward, 755 East Three Fountains Drive, Murray, Utah. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, also 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
