Edward Miller Higbee, age 91, graduated from this life 14 February 2020 and is now enriching Paradise with his “If it isn’t great, forget it” positive attitude.\r\nHe was born 22 August 1928 in Cedar City, Utah to E. Thurman and Thelma Higbee. He married Vilate Tolman on 28 May 1954 in the Logan Temple, she is deceased. He married June Clawson on 26 January 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple.\r\nHe served honorably in the U.S. Army in Korea. He worked 40-1/2 years for Salt Lake City Water Department.\r\nHe was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities. He served two full-time missions and several stake missions. His favorite positions were as a temple worker for 45 years, an usher at Temple Square for 30 years, a genealogy extractor for 15 years.\r\nEd had no guile, was honest to his bones, full of integrity, and had great humor.\r\nSurvived by his wife, June; sons, Edward (Michelle), Gary (Sarah), Kenneth (Launa); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vilate; and brother, Bevan.\r\nFuneral services will be held, Saturday, 22 February, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Cottonwood 8th Ward, 6180 Glenoaks Street, Murray, Utah. Family and friends may call at the church Friday, 21 February 2020, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Saturday, 22 February 2020 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens located at 1075 East 4580 South.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, Ed would appreciate a donation to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
