Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Donaldson Faulkner died peacefully at home in South Jordan, Utah, Sunday, February 27, 2022. Born at home on July 28, 1924, in Lynbrook, Long Island, New York to Wellington Donaldson and Jessie Davies Lyman. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Social Work. She married William Olson in March 1946 spending most of their married life in Massachusetts. Later divorced. \n\nShe joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1958, and served in a variety of positions, with many years in the Young Women’s organization. She had a desire to serve others by offering rides to church or inviting others to join the family for a home cooked meal. She worked at Mt. Elam Nursing Home in Fitchburg, MA as a social worker. She served a full-time mission in Arizona 1984-85. Afterwards moved to Utah. She had kept in touch with several high school friends and married George Faulkner in October 2000. He took her to his home in Orlando Florida. They loved to dance and socialize with neighbors there. When he passed, she moved back to Utah and was active in doing temple work.\n\nSurvived by children: Gregory Olson (Lisa), Christopher Olson (Marie), Holly Hastings (Mike), 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Betty is preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Harger, Jeannette Ingle, Eloise Buell, children, Matthew and James, 2 grandchildren.\n\nFuneral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10206 South 3200 West, South Jordan, Utah on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 am. Viewing at 10:00 am.\n\nInterment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.), Salt Lake City, UT.
