ErLinda Ramirez Stevenson Obituary (1944 - 2019)

ErLinda Ramirez Stevenson passed away peacefully on November 18, 2019. She was born on August 31, 1944 to Andres Ramirez and Rachel Guevara in Standardville, UT. She loved growing up in Spring Canyon where she and her sister climbed hills like “mountain goats”. She became an entertainer at a very young age. Her older sister Bonnie would play the piano, and Linda would stand on the piano bench and sing to friends and family. Linda loved with her whole heart. She showed her kindness through her love and how she accepted everyone with open arms. Her family was her greatest accomplishment. No matter what was going on, they were always loved and supported. We are grateful that she was able to spend time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren before her passing. She was called Mom, Mama, G and GG. She was Dolly to her parents and brothers and sisters. Her interests included crocheting, collecting figurines, drawing and Country music She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and a Professional Country Singer who worked with the artists Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker and Kris Kristofferson among others. Her light and spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her children: Laynie Hamlin, Shawn Patterson, Tracy Hyrske, Melinda Patterson, Daniel Patterson, and Jayme Romero; brother, L Matthew Ramirez (Kathryn); and sister, Carmen R. Nichol (Nic). Preceded in death by parents, Andres Ramirez and Rachel Guevara; sisters, Benita Grover and Andrea Martine; and brother, Joel Arthur Ramirez. She has 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at the LDS Ward at 2374 East Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT. Linda loved the color purple.
