Eva Sweat Knapton

Eva Sweat Knapton was born on December 28th, 1940 in Daniels/Wasatch County, Utah to LaVon Lester Sweat and Zelpha Isabell Pace Sweat—the third of seven children. Eva passed away on March 29, 2010 in Fruitland, Utah.

She was lovingly devoted to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Eva will be extremely missed, and always loved and remembered for the example she was to every life she touched.

Eva is survived by her husband, Ray John Knapton of 53 years; her children, Eva Teric/Terri (Mike) Warner of West Jordan, UT, Ruby Larraine Knapton of San Leandro, CA, Jackie Marie (Ray) Plumb of Prescott Valley, AZ, Ray Lewis (Charlotte) Knapton of Fruitland, UT, Elizabeth Lynn (Bryan) Cracroft of West Valley City, UT, Judy (Lynn) Nielsen of Fruitland, UT; and her brother, Kenneth W. Sweat of West Valley City, UT.

Preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; one brother; and four children, Cynthia Ann Drake, Diane Rae Steelman, LaVon Joseph Anderson and John Lester Knapton.

Services will be Friday, April 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fruitland LDS Ward, 46130 W. Highway 40, Fruitland, UT. A viewing will be Thursday evening at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street., Murray, UT from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The viewing on Friday from 2:00-2:45 p.m. will be at the Fruitland LDS Ward prior to the service. Interment: Fruitland Cemetery.
