Evelyn Marie Johnson Brown passed away peacefully on February 12, 2013 of cancer. She was born August 5, 1933 in Grangeville, Idaho to Ellen Lenore Blankenship and Axel Hugo Johnson. She married W. Roy Brown July 21, 1951 in Boise, Idaho. The marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple December 11, 1953. She is survived by her husband, W Roy Brown, her four children: Teresa Lowrey, Denver, CO; Cindy Glover (Greg), Lehi, UT; David Brown (Iliana), Miami, FL; Tammy Wilstead (Tab), West Yellowstone, MT; 24 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was being a mother and a grandmother.\n\nA faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served faithfully in many church callings and assignments including presiding over the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Mission and as president of the New Zealand MTC with her husband. She also served as assistant matron in the Johannesburg, South Africa Temple. She enjoyed many activities with her husband including boating, fishing, skiing, rafting, and BYU football games.\n\nFuneral services will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 am, at River View 6th Ward, 287 West River Chapel Road (11650 South) Draper, Utah. Family and friends may call Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy (10600 South.) No public viewing Saturday at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn.
