Evelyn Gottfredson Cowan loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on July 22, 2009. \nMom was born September 17, 1928 to Wilford Gottfredson and Melva Gammell in Springville, Utah. She married Frank Cowan on March 7, 1951 in Elko, Nevada and they were sealed in the LDS Temple on April 22, 1978.\n\nMom enjoyed crafts, gardening, holidays and traveling with her husband. She faithfully served in many church callings. The joy of her life was spending time with her husband and family. Mom left us with a legacy of love and faith that will never be forgotten.\n\nSurvived by her loving husband Frank, children Craig (Roxanne) Cowan, Kay (Mike) Kalakis, Cinda (Bryan) Davies, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers Glen (Beverly) Gottfredson, Ted (June) Gottfredson, Lynn (Nancy) Gottfredson and Bob (Glenna) Gottfredson.\n\nServices will be held at 11:00 A.M Tuesday July 28th at the Lake Creek 2nd ward located at 6250 East 12 South Heber, Utah, where a viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services.\n\nFamily and friends may also call on Monday July 27th from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M at the Jenkins–Soffe Mortuary located at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. \nInterment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
