Evelyn DuVall

Evelyn lived in Romeo, Colorado before moving to Salt Lake City in 1959. She gave birth to six children and after marrying Presley in 1974, Evelyn loved his five children as if they were her own.

Her children include Joyce and Norm Johnson, Elayne and Del Ray Anderson, Bill and Janae Broyles, Paul Broyles, Doyle Camp (deceased), Laurie Camp, and honorary daughter Roxanne Willis. Her stepchildren are Dwight Laws (deceased), Theda Timmins (deceased), Vicky Dyson, Ken and Mary DuVall, Rita DuVall.

In addition to her love and dedication to her family, Evelyn cared deeply for her friends and neighbors. She lived a life of service and was happiest when she was helping others. She oversaw programs to provide food and clothing for those in need and was recognized as South Salt Lake Citizen of the Year in 2009 for her contributions to the community. She demonstrated an unparalleled passion for altruism and inspired countless others along the way.

She grew delicious strawberries, made beautiful quilts, and told amazing stories. Evelyn enjoyed playing cards, board games and doing puzzles. She had an extensive stamp collection and spent years doing genealogy work.

She was a beloved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Evelyn passed away peacefully at the age of 100.

She will be sorely missed by her family and all the friends she made throughout her life.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, at 12:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, Utah. Viewings will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to services from 11:00-11:45 a.m.. Interment to follow at West Jordan City Cemetery 7925 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah.
