Evelyn D. Rowland

Evelyn "Betty" Elizabeth Davidson Rowland passed away on January 27, 2015. Betty was born March 12, 1923 in Bingham Canyon to William and Mena Boast Davidson. She married Matthew W. Rowland in 1943; he preceded her in death in 1986.

Betty worked as a U.S. Postal worker for 27 years. She raised four children, and she gave her daughter, Jill, exceptional care for 29 years of her life.

Survived by her children, Franklyn Dee (Louise), Jeffrey Blair (Peggy); grandchildren, Steven, Michael, Paul, Carolyn, Jeffrey Lynn, Jason Matthew, Joshua Blair; and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her daughters, Jan and Jill.

The family expresses a special thanks to Phil Hurtado for his friendship and care for their mother.

Graveside services will be Monday, February 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 S. Vine Street.
